Casa Raposeira is situated in the sought after area of Calicos, just outside the little town of Moncarapacho. From its secluded hillside position, the house is ideally positioned a 25 minute drive from Faro airport.

Although car hire is essential, a good selection of restaurants, banks, pharmacy, post office and petrol station is 3 minutes away in Moncarapacho. Historic Tavira is a must at 15 minutes drive, the Ria Formosa National Park is 10 minutes and the palace and Roman ruins at Estoi are just 10 minutes drive.

The local beach at Fuzeta is just 10 minutes drive away. There are other superb beaches, including Pedras del Rei, Tavira Island and Fuzeta Island close by. Alternatively, the well-known beaches near Val de Lobo are a 35 minute drive.

The Algarve has plenty of golf courses: Benamor is approximately a 25 minute drive, Quinta da Ria and Quinta de Cima are approx 30 minutes, Colinas Verde (9 holes) is 10 minutes and 30-35 minutes to the west is Quinta do Lago, Vale de Lobo and Vilamoura.
